Is Artpreneur a traditional art class?
Not exactly — and that’s what makes it special.Artpreneur blends art, creativity, entrepreneurship, imagination, collaboration, and community into one experience. Children create projects, brainstorm ideas, explore different materials, listen to music, socialize, and build confidence in a relaxed and encouraging environment. It’s designed to feel more like a creative club than a strict classroom — while still providing structure through guided instruction, lesson plans, and step-by-step creative support.
What if my child’s item doesn’t sell?
Artpreneur Kids Club is designed as a collaborative and encouraging experience rather than a competitive marketplace. Children participate in a rotating marketplace experience where members who create featured projects have opportunities to make sales and be celebrated. When a marketplace purchase is made, we thoughtfully select which participating child’s creation will fulfill the order. That child then helps package and prepare the item for shipment as part of the Artpreneur entrepreneurship experience. Our sales system is intentionally designed so that each participating child has opportunities to experience the joy and excitement of creating, selling and sharing handmade work with the community. Items are fulfilled as part of a collaborative collection rather than individually selected pieces, helping reduce competition between children while creating a supportive and inclusive experience for everyone involved.
What kinds of projects will children create?
Projects may include painting, drawing, sewing, sculpting, woodworking, candle making, soap making, crafting, decor projects, mixed media art, and seasonal themed creations.Children are also encouraged to share ideas and interests so we can collaboratively design projects together as a group.
Does my child need art experience?
Not at all.Artpreneur is designed for both beginners and highly creative children alike. The focus is on exploration, confidence, imagination, and learning through creating.
Can parents stay during activities?
Yes — absolutely.Parents are welcome during Artpreneur activities, especially during Playdate Mondays and while children adjust to new environments.Certain workshops may encourage more independent creative participation, while other activities invite parents to create and participate alongside their child. We want Artpreneur to feel welcoming, connected, and community-oriented.

Yes.Artpreneur will maintain at least two adults present with children through our parent volunteer program.Parents interested in volunteering during class may qualify for complimentary membership benefits for their child through our parent volunteer program.
Are background checks and clearances completed?
Yes.Required child safety clearances and background checks are completed in accordance with Pennsylvania childcare and volunteer requirements.Creating a safe and trustworthy environment for children is extremely important to us.
What happens if my child becomes shy, emotional, overwhelmed, or needs a break?
Children are never forced to participate before they are ready. If a child needs a moment to rest or reset, they are welcome to take a break from creating and enjoy alternative activities within the classroom such as books, toys, snacks, or free play before rejoining the group when they feel comfortable. Our goal is to create a supportive environment where children feel safe, respected, and encouraged.
Are snacks included?
Children are welcome to bring their own snack and water bottle.Occasionally, small class snacks or treats may be provided as a fun bonus.
How are allergies handled?
We take allergies, dietary needs, and preferences seriously. If class snacks or treats are provided, they will always be selected with the entire group in mind so that all children feel included and safe.Parents will also have the opportunity to share important allergy and medical information during registration.
Will the children go outside or use the playground?
When time and weather allow, children may enjoy supervised playground play toward the end of class. We may also hold certain classes outdoors when projects are particularly messy or when the weather is especially nice. We love giving children opportunities to create, explore, and enjoy fresh air whenever possible.
Do children have to sell their artwork?
No.Children are never required to sell their creations. They are always welcome to create simply for fun and take their projects home. The entrepreneurship aspect is optional and intended to be exciting, educational, and empowering — never pressured.
How does the “selling artwork” part work?
Some children may choose to sell select creations through the Artpreneur Marketplace, Etsy, or local community events.Children are never required to sell their work and are always welcome to simply create for fun and take projects home. When a project sells:100% of the earnings go directly to the child.Parents can choose how earnings are received, including:cash payout
